Winning Açorianos Awards and going to Ceará

A prize is a prize. Merit is far from common agreement, but even the most sceptical would agree about at least one point: a prize is always a joy for the "crowned". And it wouldn't be different with us. Winning the Açorianos Award for Best Instrumental Composition was such a great satisfaction.

Happiness, however, was just beggining to begin. We didn't even had enought time to celebrate before leaving to Ceará to play "Mel Chorinho & Cachaça" Festival (something like "honey, chorinho and... cachaça"). We also played a couple of shows at remarkable Banco do Nordeste Cultural Centre and Kukukaya, a very nice venue for Brazilian regional music, both in Fortaleza. We should not forget to mention the special participation on the project "Chorinho no Mercado" and talking to music students on University of State of Ceará.

It was a really pleasant time. We made new friends and met old partners during unforgettable days full of kindness, confraternization  and warm receptions. The very moment we came back home, we started turning these sweet memories into music.
